Dr. Michels was born and raised in the Midwest and resided in Kansas nearly 27 years prior to relocating to Las Vegas to practice in 2013.
Dr. Michels played college football at Coffeyville Community College in Coffeyville, KS and at Kansas Wesleyan University in Salina, Kansas.
He graduated with honors in 2008 and received a Bachelor's of Science in Biology from KWU. Dr. Michels was an avid athlete who also played rugby for many years for various teams throughout the Midwest while attending the Doctor of Chiropractic program at Cleveland Chiropractic College in Overland Park, Kansas.
In December 2012 Dr. Michels graduated from CCC with honors gaining his Doctor of Chiropractic (D.C.). He soon became highly trained in corrective chiropractic care and completed his fellowship training in Chiropractic BioPhysics (CBP) in 2014. Dr. Michels also has extensive knowledge in managing extremity and soft tissue injuries and is well versed in treating sports related injuries. Dr. Michels excels in the treatment of auto related injuries and patients from across the Las Vegas valley come to his clinic to be treated after they have sustained injuries from an accident. He completed his Manipulation Under Anesthesia (M.U.A.) training in 2015, giving him access to hospitals and surgical centers in the area to help chronic pain patients and to further manage injury related cases.
Dr. Michels is licensed in Nevada and Kansas. He enjoys being with family and friends, hunting, fishing, camping, hiking, and lifting weights when he is not pursuing his love of helping others through chiropractic. Dr. Michels is proud to serve the city of Las Vegas and the Las Vegas metro area.
